Occasionally you'll find the need to merge Dynamic Blocks.  One situation you would want to do this is when creating a Perspective across multiple asset types such as EC2 Instance / RDS Instance based on the same tag.

In these situations, the categorization will result in two Dynamic Blocks being created within the Perspective.  Dynamic blocks are created due to being based on the same Tag will likely contain duplicate groups.

You won't be able to merge the groups, however, as they exist across multiple dynamic blocks. The solution in this case is to merge the dynamic blocks themselves which can be done by following the steps given below:

Step 1 - Select the Dynamic Blocks themselves via the checkbox located on the left next to each blocks name:


Step 2 - The actions taken in Step 1 will select all of the groups active within both blocks, and will display the following control at the top of the Group Navigate pane:

This control will merge the two dynamic blocks resulting in one dynamic block containing all the groups of the previous two dynamic blocks

Individual blocks can then be merged following the steps given here.
